Two-step verification or Two-factor authentication is meant to add an additional security layer to your privacy. In this line of the tutorial, we’ll show you how to enable and use Two-step verification in WhatsApp on iPhone and Android. While setting up WhatsApp Account, it verifies the phone number via OTP. That’s the first layer of security that WhatsApp is already giving us from its inception.   1. Unlock your phone and launch WhatsApp.
  2. Go to WhatsApp Settings.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Two-step verification.
  5. Read the description and tap Enable.
  6. Enter six-digit PIN and confirm it.
  7. Up next, enter Email Address, since it will be a key recovery point in case you forget the Six-Digit PIN. Though, if you don’t enter email address and forget the Six-Digit PIN, you would have to wait for 7 days to reset the Two-step verification PIN.
    • Note: Enter correct Email Address, WhatsApp don’t verify Email Address, therefore you should be at your full conscience while entering email address.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. Confirm Email ID and tap Save.

How to Change Two-step Verification PIN on WhatsApp iPhone and Android?

Yes, you can change the two-step verification PIN of WhatsApp with ease. And the fact is everyone should keep changing their PINs.

  1. Unlock your phone.
  2. Launch WhatsApp.
  3. Go to WhatsApp Settings.
  4. Tap Account.

  6. Select Change PIN.

How to Add Email Address in WhatsApp?
