How to Transfer Contacts from iPhone to Samsung for Free

How to Move Contacts from iOS to Android for Free

Method 1: Transfer Contacts from iPhone to Samsung Manually

Well, if you’re not looking to get into a third-party application and want to keep a backup of Contacts as well as transfer the contacts, then this method is highly recommended.

Part 1: Upload Contacts to iCloud

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on your profile.
  3. Select iCloud.
  4. Tap Show All.
  5. Turn On Contacts.
  6. Doing this will upload all the saved contacts of the iPhone to iCloud.

Part 2: Download Contacts from iCloud

  1. Visit the iCloud.com on any browser.
  2. Login to iCloud using your Apple Account.
  3. Click on the Apps button.
  4. Find and click on Contacts.
  5. Click on gear icon located on the lower-left screen.
  6. Click Select All > click on gear icon again.
  7. Lastly, click on Export vCard to download the .vcf file.

Part 3: Transfer Contacts to Samsung

  1. Copy or transfer the .vcf file to your Samsung, you can use any way to do so.
  2. Once the .vcf file is moved to Samsung, open the file location of .vcf file.
  3. Tap on the .vcf file.
  4. Select the Google Account to which you want to add the contacts.

You can keep the .vcf file anywhere as a backup and follow the steps of Part 3 as mentioned above, to transfer the contacts on any Android device.

Method 2: Transfer Contacts using Google One

For Apple, we have iCloud, and for Android, Google One. It gives full control to all the things, including Contacts, so without thinking twice, download the Google One and follow the steps below. Keep note that whatever you upload on Google One, it will be floated to all the devices where you’ve signed in with a Google Account. Let’s transfer contacts from iPhone to Samsung without Cloud.

  1. Download Google One in your iPhone.
  2. Open and sign in to Google One.
  3. Setup Google One.
  4. Tap View in the Sync box.
  5. Tap on Contacts.
  6. Select Set up sync.
  7. Tap Upload contacts.

Transfer Contacts via Email or Text

This method has one of the biggest downsides: you can only send one contact at a time via Email or Text. If you have limited contacts to transfer, then this method is for you.

Via Email:

  1. Launch the Contacts App on iPhone.
  2. Tap on the contact to share.
  3. Select Share Contact.
  4. Select Messages App, Gmail, Mail or any other Mail App through which you would like to share the contact.
  5. Now, send the email to your own ID or the Email ID that is there in your Samsung.
  6. Launch the Email App in your Samsung and open the Mail.
  7. Tap on the attachment, it should be a .vcf file.
  8. Choose Google Account and tap Done.
