Fix Voicemail Notification Stuck on Samsung S23Ultra,S23Plus

On receiving a new voicemail, you’ll see a notification alert on the home screen. In normal cases, when you tap and listen to the voicemail, it should disappear automatically, but some of the users have reported that the voicemail notification is stuck on Samsung S23 and won’t go away. Fix Voicemail Notification Won’t Go Away Samsung S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra

Listen to Voicemail

Like WhatsApp or Instagram alerts, notifications stay on the notification panel until and unless it has been manually cleared or you have tap on that particular notification. Once you listen to the new voicemail, the voicemail notification will automatically go away.

Force Restart

Have you restarted the phone? Might be a soft reset. Try force restart; it is equivalent to removing the battery, re-inserting, and restarting the system. This troubleshooting is pretty much quick and resulted in positive in fixing minor glitches.

  • Press and hold the Volume up button and Power button until the Samsung logo appears.

Clear Call Settings Cache and Data

Seems like Voicemail App is corrupted. Corrupted data and cache files won’t respond to new updates and will stay stuck forever. Try clearing cache and data, it may remove the stuck voicemail notification from Samsung S23, S23 Ultra, S23 Plus.

  1. Navigate to the Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Next to Your apps, tap on Sort by button and enable Show system apps.
  4. Find and tap on Call settings.
  5. Tap Storage > Clear Storage and Clear Data.

Change Voicemail Notification Settings

You may have changed the Voicemail Notification Settings unknowingly and now voicemail notification won’t go away on Samsung S23 Ultra. Here’s how to change the voicemail notification settings.  

  1. Go to Phone app.
  2. Tap on three-dots.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Voicemail > Notifications.
  5. Alter the settings; you can enable/disable notifications, show/hide as a pop-up, toggle Vibrate, and toggle Lock screen, whether to display a notification on the lock screen or not.  

Enable Safe Mode

Safe mode deactivates all third-party applications like Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, etc., and only keeps the default apps like Phone, Contacts, Photos, and more. Sometimes, downloading a third-party app or a beta version of the app causes volatility in the system.

  • Press and hold the Power button and then touch and enable the Power Off button and select Safe mode.

Observe the device in Safe Mode, and if the voicemail notification is gone, restart the device to exit Safe mode.  

Send Yourself a Voicemail

This will push the stuck voicemail notification from the system. Give it a try. Or you can ask your friend or colleague to send a new voicemail.

Turn Off Voicemail Service

Still can’t get rid of stuck voicemail notifications on Samsung S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra? Disable the Voicemail Notification and set up call forwarding to forward the calls when you’re busy.

To turn off the Voicemail Service, contact the Network Service Provider and ask them.

Here’s how to setup call forwarding,

  1. Go to Phone app.
  2. Select three-dots > Settings.
  3. Tap Supplementary services.
  4. Tap Call forwarding.
  5. Choose how and when you would like to forward calls.
  6. And enter the Phone number.

You can anytime re-start the Voicemail Services by connecting with the carrier.
