While running a device for a long time causes a charging problem due to temporary bugs. To verify if that’s the case, we advise that you replicate the effects of battery pull. On older smartphone with portable battery packets, an issue like this can be solved efficiently by removing the battery. This is not achievable for OnePlus 7 still you can make an attempt to simulate the effects of physically disengaging the battery. Before that you can perform a forced reboot, assured to leave device charging for minimum 30 minutes. Afterwards, to perform force reboot follow the given below steps:
- Hold and Press the Power Key on the right side of the device.
- Hold the Power Key until the device vibrates and restart.
- If the device turns off press the Power key for 1-2 seconds to restart the device.
If your device is still not working properly after performing the above steps, continue holding the Power Key for another 10 seconds.

After this much-failed attempts, I believe you have no faith left in your newest OnePlus device, but this isn’t it. As on OnePlus 6t, I have fixed the same issue by charging the device just by connecting with the computer. However, you have to keep your PC turned on and change the settings to USB charging.
